Sierra Nevada is much more than a ski resort. With more than 112 km of slopes for skiers, it also offers snow plans designed for those who don’t want to put on skis: from an amusement park on the snow to a snowcat route. Plans with kids and for families
Sierra Nevada has a themed area aimed at families. In Pradollano, next to the Mirlo Blanco, the little ones have trampolines and children’s rides to jump and play in the snow; each ride is paid for on the spot with coins, so it’s a good idea to bring small change. Everything is very close by: the Mirlo Blanco, the children’s rides and the ice rink share the same area, and they make for several hours of plans without skiing.
For children who are starting to ski or snowboard, there are also lessons: you’ll find all the options at our ski and snowboard school.
If you ski: beyond the slopes
- Snowpark Sulayr At the Loma de Dílar, for snowboarders and freestyle skiers. To get started it has the Miniparque (Progression Park), with a permanent inflatable landing cushion, and the Kidspark, a line for the little ones. A helmet is required.
- Skiline Tracks your vertical meters, lift rides and kilometers of slope for your day, using your forfait number. In Borreguiles there is also a Speedcheck, which photographs your top speed, and a parallel slalom course.
- Beginner slopes If it’s your first time, the beginner slopes are in the Borreguiles area.
- Night skiing It used to take place on the El Río run, with lighting and special hours on Saturdays. The 2025-26 season was the last edition for now, and it is expected to return in upcoming seasons.
Snowcat experiences
If you want to see the mountain from a different angle, there are experiences aboard a snowcat. The panoramic route covers areas of the resort that are not usually visited, at more than 2,000 meters of altitude. And the sunset excursion, which includes a snack menu, is an exclusive activity for groups and only on request. To request them, write to info@sierranevadagranada.com or call +34 679 82 26 56.
