In short
- Après-ski is the social plan after a day on the slopes: a terrace, music, a drink and good company right by the pistes.
- Sierra Nevada Granada makes it easy: Pradollano, at 2,100 m, brings together terraces, cafés and bars next to the slopes, under the Andalusian sun.
- You can keep it going with a dinner in a Mesit igloo or a trip to Granada, about 40 minutes away.
- The best approach is to arrive with your day organized: forfait, lessons and table booked.

If you’re wondering which are the best après-ski spots in Spain, the answer depends on what you’re after: atmosphere, variety, proximity to the slopes, or a plan that doesn’t end when the chairlift stops. Sierra Nevada Granada has all of that, with the Andalusian sun, at the doorstep of a city with plenty to see.
What is après-ski?
Après-ski literally means “after skiing.” It’s the custom, born in the Alps, of getting together at the end of a day on the slopes to have a drink, listen to music, eat and share the day with friends or family. You don’t need to ski to enjoy it: it’s a plan for everyone on the mountain.

Tip
On weekends and holidays, terraces fill up early. Book a table in advance if you want to have dinner, and don’t leave your descent until the last minute.
A full day: from the slopes to the night
- Book the essentials Forfait (the 2-day one is the most recommended), equipment and, if you like, a lesson.
- Arrive without rushing Check the road and where to park.
- Ski until mid-afternoon That way you reach the terrace in time, while there’s still daylight.
- Terrace and a drink Swap your boots for a good spot in the sun and tell the story of your day.
- Dinner and night Have dinner in Pradollano and let the night decide the rest.
